I'm Addicted to Nail Polish......
No...not eating it! But alas, I have to come to grips with the fact that I have purchased almost a months worth (translation= 30 or more) polishes in a matter of days. I look at all of the exciting colors and get a dazed look and truly cannot decide.
To go along with my polish addiction, I have been scouring the net searching for nail blogs. Ooohhh...I have come across some lovelies and have gotten so many ideas from them. So, yeah...thanks for helping me with my habit!
With that, I wanted to let you darlings know about a few nail related things...
1) Zoya (one of my fav nail polish brands thus far) is having a BOGO (buy-one-get-one) sale this week. Yes, purchase one polish and get another free! I do not recall the limit, but I purchased 4 and got 4 free! I'm giddy about it. Anywhoo...www.zoya.com.
2) Real Beauty Lounge (another fab line) is having a 50% off sale this week. I plan to take advantage of this sale to test drive their products. The blogosphere touts them pretty hard....gotta try them out.
3) Body and Soul, a blog that I have come to love is hosting a contest. They are giving away a set of Essie (I *heart* Essie polishes). I did not pay much attention to Essie previously, but they are releasing some pretty nice colors of late. I am wearing "Sew Psyched" as I type. It is a really nice green/grey and anyone who knows me knows that I am a sucker for green! Anywhoo...check out Body and Soul's contest here.
Until next time darlings!

Fashion Week and A Friday!
Happy Friday darlings! Sometimes...well most times Fridays are my favorite day of the week..sometimes not so much. This Friday however is beautiful! Its a gorgeous day outside and I have a pretty decent weekend lined up. What do you darlings have planned for the weekend?
Well, NY Fashion Week is coming to a close. I did not do a lot of posting about it because, well because I just really got back to posting just the other day LOL. Nonetheless, I found a little snippet about the Roberto Cavalli show over at the Fly Blog. Who knew Ms. Solange Knowles is a spinning diva...dj that is. (I still have dreams of being a spinning dj myself...got all my tunes lined up on my Mac ready to go...lessons anyone?)
Have a great weekend darlings!

Muse Loves a Giveaway!
Alas...the NY Fashion Week festivities kicked off last Friday with Fashion Night Out. If you have ever participated in any of the festivities or dropped by a participating retail establishment, you know that there are good times and swag to be had!
None of the mavens from Muse were able to make it, so I have been living vicariously through the world wide web, and I came across this great post and giveaway on her blog Effortless Anthropologie. Yes...I have a unhealthy love affair with Anthropologie!
Anywhoo...the giveaway is for a set of really hot nail lacquers from Chanel. They go perfectly with this season's military theme fashion scene! You can check out the giveaway here.

WOOOOOWWWW!!!!
I am super surprised that Blogger kept this account open! I have had thoughts of my lonely blog but was always left with the question of which direction the blog should take. I am a huge fan of blogs! I get so much information and inspiration from blogs. Often my friends tell me that I should write a blog about blogs LOL....imagine that. BUT, I kind of like the idea. I share lots of information with people and what better way than to post what I find here. This is also a way for you out there in the blogosphere to get to know me and see what makes me tick.....and this is a great creative outlet.
So, as you will see in the banner....Muse Annex is no longer the name of an indie boutique (although we are still in business). Muse Annex's blog is about any and everything!
Today marks the beginning of our new blog which will be packed with fashion finds, links to other cool blogs, recipes, music, the arts....you name it and you may find it here.

New Year Repost!!
Greetings! I posted this prayer at the beginning of last year and I came across it again today. Although the year is well underway, I thought it would be perfect to post again. Enjoy!
Happy New Year to you and yours. This message should have come to you days ago, however, I am one of those people that slowly absorbs the passing of the old into the new. I take lots of time for reflection....simply floating in the realm of what next, where to, how...you know...the questions that we face when embarking upon new times and spaces. So, with this new year, 2009, I fully embrace what is to come. I am excited about the new possibilities, the forthcoming knowledge, the reinforcement of solid relationships and the unknowns. Nope, no resolutions for me, just pure unadultered acceptance and embrace.I came across a lovely prayer on one of the many blogs that I read http://www.keepitsimplesista.blogspot.com/ The words of this prayer are so meaningful...and she covered all the bases. I am posting the prayer below and I have changed some of the script specific to my prayer.Dear Heavenly Father...Thank you so much for blessing me with another year....Thank you for all that you have brought myself and my family through this year...Thank you so much for your forgiveness and for your patience...Thank you so much for protecting me and my family daily when we are apart...Thanks so much for blessing my household...Please continue to bless this house...Bless the works of our hands ...And our finances...I pray for the healing of our children....That you will take away their troubles ...That you will open up their hearts and minds...So that they can be healthy and productive....I pray that you will bless all of them in school and in their work...I pray that you will protect them and keep them safe when they are out in the world....I pray that you will just work in them...That one day they will be strong spiritual young adults…I pray for my parents ....That you will continue to heal them both...That you will bless my Father ...Bless my Mother for the sacrifices that she does to help others....And continue to keep them healthy as they age...God bless and protect my Sisters and Brothers.....Continue to be a part of their lives and their children lives...Bless their households and their finances...Father bless and keep my Husband for he is the head ...Give him wisdom, strength and everything he needs physically, and emotionally....Bless him on his job…And keep him safe and in good health.Bless all my friends and family....You know all of their needs ...Last I pray for myself....I pray forgiveness for my short comings, I pray for many, many , many more years....I want to see generations ... grand children , and great great grand children…I pray for my safety and good health...I pray that I can be a good Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and friend.....Bless my business ventures and the continued learning as I work to grow each business… and continue to bring new and wonderful people in my life...In Your Son Jesus Christ's Name…Amen

...Gotta Figure Some Things Out!
It shames me that the last post was in March.....5 months ago! How do I expect anyone to follow when I don't keep up the blog? Well, I have to figure out what direction to take this blog in. There are tons of blogs out there in the blogosphere about beauty, fashion....you name it, there is a blog about it. Honestly I am clueless as to where I want to take this blog. I am still an avid supporter of all things natural and handmade...and vintage for that matter. Yes, we still sell a small sampling of items from brands that are near and dear to us, but sadly, we have to announce that we have shut the doors to the boutique (that's a story for another post). I hope to be able to do trunk shows and co-host "pop-up shops" with some fab brands and designers. My question to you is....."what else do you want to see/read?"
Tell me.....make suggestions in the comments. I'm excited to know what you think!
Toodles!
